A real stumper

Here's the issue: I can open IE on my pc Windows XP and it opens to a full window. But when I open one of my short cut desktop icons it opens half screen in the shape of a verticle rectangle. Any cures to get the icons to open the web sites to full size. Thanks the Artist

right click icon,propeties, change 'run' on 'shortcut' to maximised ?

Just replace the icon.
go into C>Program Files>Internet Explorer> and look for the .exe . when you find it click create shortcut then take it to your desktop

or eaiser yet would be to find it in your start menu and right click > Send To > Desktop.
