For some reason my computer is able to detect my other hard drive through the startup and various other programs, such as pc wizard. It also says that it is connected and everything is fine. However, I can't seem to open it .. at all .. it doesn't even show up in My Computer. It's really weird. Through PCWizard I have this info on my HD:

Go to My Computer > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management. Click on Disk Management in the left pane. The installed drives will appear in the left pane allowing you to partition, format and maintain your drives.

Is this a new drive or one that has been in use for some time? You can download a diagnostic program from Hitachi that will fully test the drive.

Okay .. is it one I have to put onto a disk and boot it up from the computer?

If so, How do I put it on to a disk. Yes, I am hopeless with these things :p

Yea, Nero will do.

1. Download the ISO CD image to a folder on your computer.
2. Insert a blank CD in your CD-RW drive.
3. Start Nero Burning.
4. Close the New Compilation window.
5. Click Recorder then Burn Image on the top menu bar.
6. In the Open dialog box, select the ISO file, and then click Open.
7. In the wizard, click Burn to write the image to the CD.

There's no like ISO CD image, just;

4 folders DOS DFT DATA and ASPI

3 applications IBMDOS.COM IBMBIO.COM COMMAND.COM

1 system file CONFIG.SYS

1 windows batch file AUTOEXEC.BAT

Looks like you grabbed to wrong one. There's one for creating a floppy disk, and one for a bootable CD. You want to download the one that says "CD image (2,718 K)". That is the ISO that you'll burn using Nero.
