Ok,Here's my story.

I Bought FSX,I Installed it,and it was performing Crap (I have an ATI radeon x1200 on my laptop,and an 8600GT on my desktop,and my laptop was outperforming my desktop.),I downloaded Sp1 and Sp2,I Install them both,try to run the game,and i get a direct X Error saying i dont have direct x 9 installed (Which i do),So i uninstall it (Modify the registry,tricking the computer that it's not installed),and try reinstall it,and it won't re-install.



hence,I hate microsoft.

Edit; I Just found my backup of the registry,i restored it,so now im back to square one.ugh . So im downloading the latest package from microsoft,let's hope that fixes it.I Really love FSX!!



Edit Again;Ok,I Now have FSX Up and running ,It Run's much better,but as soon as i switch on the autogen,my FPS Drop like crazy! Anyway to fix this? With it off it looks horrible.

why are you on direct x 9 on vista? its 10

Dude, you need to grab the June release for DX9. It's a package of updates. It's an outdated DX 9 you have.

Im in XP on Desktop,Im Heavily Considering dual booting with vista on my desktop.
