Some people cut, resize and resolder their PSUs. I know Voodoo PC does that so there isn't any extra length that you don't need.

Back when I was using mine I cut holes in the case to run wires behind the motherboard tray. I also cut up the hard drive trays so I could flip the hard drive around.
