Yeah, haha, I've tried all those. Contrast and clicking around like crazy, but maybe the port is just fucked up. It is a really old lap top, dust and everything. And it was in a basement for a while, a basement that happened to flood, so maybe water damage as well... but I was hoping not. It would've been fun to have a lap top to mess around on with ubuntu, I've never dealt with an open source OS... this is frustrating... I was excited....
