DSL question

Just curious, those of you who have DSL, does filters on all your phones help with the stability of connectivity during thunderstorms?

It seems like every time there is one I lose connection for a few hours?

Probably not. The primary purpose of the filter is to separate the high and low frequency so the phones will continue to ring.

u should just have one filter on ur main line that comes into the house

This is the correct way to do it, but requires "technician" to install it.

Filters are needed for DSL to work properly, wouldn't affect stability in storms from my understanding.

um hows about u try calling ur ISP first

I did. They recommended filters.

Must be the modem itself. Read and tell me what you think? I have a westell 6100
