GPU temps?

When you apply thermal paste to a CPU you are applying it to an IHS (unless you've removed it), with ATI GPUs, you are applying it directly to the core, with all the surrounding resistors, there is a chance some excess paste could cause a short circuit.

If you know what you are doing when you're spreading the paste, it'll be fine. Just be careful. Have you tried Catalyst Control Center yet?

Well...I have CCC (and the hotfix), but I see absolutely NO fan-related controls. What gives?

Alright, forget CCC for now. There is an updated version of Rivatuner that will allow you to change the fan speed:

Sweet, dude! I'm going to see how much more heat I can displace with this puppy without prepping my video card's fan for T-minus 5 'till takeoff.

EDIT: Hmm...no dice with rivatuner, that fix the programmer posted still crashes the program.
