Look guys. I'm going to be honest. I do help the community. At least I think so. But the rep system is not useless. To me, it is an incentive to do better. That's how I see it.

yep indeed 100% agree, its not useless, sometimes it is a popularity contest but other times it shows who is the most helpful

That's the way it should be looked at. Personally I don't pay much attention to it but when I do get rep for helping someone out, I try to do better. Then there are times where it's a popularity contest to see who can get the most bars of rep.

in all honesty im all about helping i don't care if i get 1,000 posts or whatever.
