Hey, I'm a n00b, I can't help it.

How about this:

Mini FM transmitter, you plug it into any device with a 3.5mm audio out socket and it transmits to any FM radio within a certain range. You can select the frequency to transmit on - anywhere between 88 and 108 Mhz.

Cost me $78 Australian.

Now I can use my MP3 player with the car stereo.
