I could have sworn EA was doing a knock-off of Team Fortress, and having a totally free (no buying disks) game based out of a web browser. For some reason it strikes me as a BF variant.

Nope, consoles only as of now.

Well it's part of the Battlefield series. It's just this time they actually have a single player story rather than forcing you to just play with bots like they did with previous BF games.

Why are they doing that anyway? Piracy that bad or something? I mean I'm pretty sure BF2 sold well on the PC.

Who knows? I doubt they'll have any problems with sales considering how well consoles are doing nowadays.

Yeah thats for sure. Maybe when I get my ps3... but eh, I hate using gamepads for shooters. I can't adjust to them.

Battlefield Heroes is the freeware TF2 ripoff, Battlefield Bad Company is the upmarket retail version that's shipping soon.

I played the demo of Bad Company and didn't like it, BF2 is three years old and still way more fun IMO.
