Also with this set up (if compatible) how well do you think it will run games?

For an operating system im thinking about getting Vista but i heard its harsh on gaming...
Should i get XP or Vista for gaming?

Thanks in advance for responding.

You shouldn't have any problems playing any games with that setup. You should get Vista x64 as it not only runs DX10 but it can also utilize a full 4GB of memory.

I was leaning towards Vista too.

Do you know if i should get a better processor? like a "intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor BX80570E8400 - 3.0GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz FSB, Wolfdale, Dual-Core, Retail, Socket 775, Processor with Fan"

its dual core instead of quad but people say its better.

do you know if game developers are starting to use the 4 cores now or may do it later?

I dont want to buy a dual core then next year need a quad core because the games are needing 4 cores :(

Nehalem will be here before the majority of software uses four cores and then you'll need a new "everything" as it has a totally different socket, you'll be OK with the E8400 unless you do video encoding etc big time

no i just game lol

ill go with the dual core E8400 because it can OC very well

how well do you think this system would play crysis? on lets say Very high 1400x900 res?

its two cards for $300. there are on Tiger Direct for 150 after rebate.

Ill be doing SLI for the cards.

dont SLI people SLI wen they have a great card but want to make it that much better,

buy 1 good card and then in a few months or so if u feel u need more power buy another good card.
