I can't be bothered to repeat myself on the quad vs dual, but if you don't already have an Intel mobo, then I would recommend the Phenom 9850 Black Edition if you decide to go with a quad.

You forgot that the Q9450 is $105 more expensive, that's why I was comparing to the Q6600.
