I was going to get the 4870.. but reading some forums, not knowing if they are legit or not, they say that the x1 isn't that much better than the others and you might as well get the x2. I don't have 500$ for that now so I'm just going to buy a monitor :p Should I do it? Right now I have 350$ but I have no source of income, and wont untill I get to college next fall and get a job.

Should I get the monitor or the card first?

I would have 350$ to spend on the monitor and I don't want to get some poop (lol) bucket of a monitor either.. I want it to be good. I want to take advantage of this card as well :D I'm looking at 22" monitors.

I'm going to get both sooner or later. I was hopeing that by christmas the 4800 series cards would go down in price :D

Does this look good? Looks awesome! but I have no idea!

The thing with 22" monitors is that their resolution is still 1680x1050 (same as a 20" monitor) but there's more screen space. So the picture isn't as clear. If you want a high quality monitor, either get a 20.1" or a 24". The 24" resolution will go up to 1920x1200.

Dell monitors are amazing quality. I have the 2007WFP refurbished, and the quality is outstanding. They're expensive though, as they use better panels then your cheap Acer or whatever.

If you look at the Dell Outlet here (Dell's refurbished stuff) there are some awesome deals on monitors:

The quality control is excellent, so don't worry about that.

There they are. I guess a 24"

I will look at newegg too. The only problem is it's refurbished. They are refurbished because they were sent in.. for a reason :p I will probably get one :D 329$ and I don't see a price for 27 or 30". but I have a 27" TV and that is WAY TO BIG for a monitor lol. 24" Is going to be HUGE

This actually looks kind of bad compared to other monitors. 5ms response time and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.. That's not that great is it? lol when I can get one with 2ms and 20000:1?

Now that I look at it they all are about 1k-3k:1 at 24"

Any one else have any suggestions? Or experiences...

Ok.. I'm looking at this
