When downloading from a torrent, do you guys use a proxy and is it a good thing to do?

For the sake of the thread I'm going to assume you're legally torrenting things.

No I've never used a proxy, never found a need to.

I'd have to agree. As long as they're legal torrents of course

torrents will never beat high speed direct links, such as rapidshare.
for a free and easy solution its great. i always use them to download "legal" stuff

i dunno bout that, for me rapidshare = constant 300 Kb ish, torrents = between 30 - 700Kb so i guess it depends on each file

My bandwidth limit is 90kb per second so direct downloads are typically better. I do use torrents for those more hard to find things though. Legal, of course.
