ah i was just messin around pirated copys do have problems. but if you go through trial and error with the iso's you can find alot of pirated copys that work perfect. and i have never seen any of my iso's do that activation thing

@ i want a laptop: did you try and reformat?
 
Here's the drill. You get 6 reinstalls on the same machine. After that you have to phone in. But if you install it on a different rig the server see the hash numbers are different and cries foul. It will tell you, just as it did this kid, that it's already activated. BUT if you wait 6 months between reinstalls you can install it on a new or just a different rig and activated it with no problems. M$ purges the activation server every 6 months.
 
I've seen this kind of error before.

it only occurs when you try to run software tat alters the registry to get around activating the copy of windows.

the best and only advice is buy a copy of windows if you want to use it.

if you don't want to buy your software then use Linux.
