The legality of distributing song clips. Please help.

Hello.

Is it legal to freely offer music clips of songs (the clips may be about 10-15 seconds) (such as Rihanna or Eminem ones) for download on my website?

my opinion would be no but i cant gurantee that.

reason i say no is no matter how short that clip of music is you dont have the right to copy it.

i may be wrong.

I think previews are ok. Like when you go to amazon they have previews or napster offer 30 second previews before you buy the tracj
