and your psu might not be enough for the vcard + the rest.

how are you going to install your OS if you dont have a harddrive?

and they have to. sometime i look at then and the are not dead cent and they are not going to be. the metal "mount" and the card are mounted so the card is on the "top" side of that metal part. have you tried putting a card in yet

I'm not looking to raise the price whatsoever, but is there any substitutions that I might want to take a look at? Advice on anything? Will 2gb memory be enough to run Vista smoothly? Should I go for more?

What exactly is your budget, if you can, shell out some more on the video card, the 8500GT really isn't very powerful. It'd be great if you could get the 8800GT, but if that's out of your reach, you could go with an 8600GTS or even an ATI/AMD equivalent.

Oh, and, if you're set on an AMD system get this processor instead.
