Laptop for College

I'm looking for a laptop for college and have narrowed it down to 2. Wanted to get some different opinions on which one I should pick.

The Asus looks great, I'm likely getting one, only downside is they don't have a great battery life.

You should be aware of the size of that gateway though, its a boat. It's a desktop replacement, not a laptop.

Definitely get the ASUS laptop, their products are really nice and so is customer support. My friend bought their G1 gaming laptop last year, worked great until a week or two ago, apparently the RAM died, he just sent it back, ASUS covered the shipping and got the laptop back to him in under a week with fresh new RAM.

Gateway is less reliable than ASUS. Don't get it. Reliability is my prime concern for a laptop for school which is why I would recommend a Mac (Yeah I use both) but you've already narrowed it down so there you go.

Whatever you do, get an extended battery for college. My HP used to barely give me 1 1/2 hours, but I get almost 5 hours, even more sometimes. It made such a big difference for such a small price.
