Here are some good reasons that buying a Iphone are still a waste of money. I guess if you don't do much from the list below then the Iphone is your meal ticket.

you think 30 bucks a month for unlimited data is alot? 30 bucks for unlimited data is a godsend for us is canada...Rogers up here is probably gunna put unlimited data to like 65 bucks a month

Out of all people, I'm surprised you didn't know. They lowered the price by $200 just months after the initial release. They also shafted users who purchased the $500 16 GB iPhone, which is now being offered at $299.

Not to mention the lower price is for a phone with much better technology. So, yes the people who bought the first gen iPhone got screwed lol

You are all missing the point. The people with the older gen iPhones got screwed when it comes to paying more for a phone, but they DON'T have to pay an extra 10$ a month, which isn't getting screwed in the long run...
