so ive been wanting to get a new graphics card lately, and with games like mass effect and GRID, i cant play in the settings i want.
so what should it do?
should i go get the Visiontek HD 3850 for $130/Visiontek HD 3870 for $160?
or should i wait till next month and buy a 4xxx series?

isnt the 4670 more of a midrange card?
sorry, but i dont like midrange cards, i prefer high-end cards.
but seeing how much the 4850/4870 costs, i might just go with the 3850 or 3870.

upon seeing other benchmarks, is the $30 not worth it for 3-10 framerates?
even with more ram (3850 - 256mb GDDR3, 3870 - 512mb GDDR4) the $30 is still not worth it?
is visiontek a trusted brand?
i dont usually overclock, i only do when i am bored, or when my room is cool.
these arent the cards i am planning to get, but which heatsink and fan is better?
one like this?

i have 7 case fans btw.
2 on the side, 2 on the top, 1 in the back, 1 on the bottom, and 1 on the front.
i dont vacuum my computer much either, only about 2 times a year.
and more information on helping me decide, i play on 1650x1050 resolution, and i try to turn on AA, and multisampling whenever i can, if i lag, then i turn them off.
I also plan on Crossfiring it later on. Most likely when i get another 2gb of ram to help run vista, and a new power supply with 600w, then i will get another card, and that'll probably be around next year.
i cant get a job since i will be going to college, and getting financial aid, and if i have a job, i cant have financial aid to help pay for college.
thanks in advance

$200 is a lot of money. and i dont think that the 4870 is going to be $200 when it comes out, its going to be more than $200, but not by much, and i just dont have that type of money.
I dont use Nvidia, because my board supports crossfire, and i want to use it sometime in the future when the 3xxx series goes down, and i need some performance gain.
The HIS card got pretty bad ratings, but since you are suggesting those kind of heatsinks, i would get one of these then.
