Make DVD for DVD player

Hey,

does anyone know any good programs I can use to copy avi files from my hdd to a dvd so that I can play them on my DVD player???
I've use various programs like DVD FLick(free) and a paying one(Xilisoft DVD Creator). ATM i have had better experience with the seconf program.
if anyone knows any good programs that are free please let me know

well whats wrong with using them ^
or were they trials?
i like winavi. sometimes the video is out of sync but i blame the very scratched dvds and the fact i dont lower the write speed. all in ann its easy to use and quick, and does indeed work its not free though. unless you look around
