I'm creating a site right now that is going to have thumbnails of the files, for example lets say a home movie or something ;), and have the picture include a hotspot linking directly to a would you like to download prompt from my server. What would be the easiest way to go about creating a very simplistic download experience?

By the way this forum is amazing. I'm only 17 and am starting to learn about windows server and apache and everything. Its so sweet!

Thanks guys! :)

Put the files in any directory on your webserver (shared) folder, and link to the files using <a href="blahblah.com/lotsofporn.zip">

ill go ahead and give that a try...thanks :)

What kind of computer education do u have Dj Chris??

I've wrote my A+ and Net+ and thats all, however I'm enrolled as a network engineering and security analyst in a local college, as well as I enlisted as a signal operator in the Canadian (Reserve) Forces.

I've spent many years doing computer work for school, friends, charitable orgionizations, medical research groups, etc.

If you are a quick learner with too much time on your hands and you have a real interest in computers, its not hard to learn about them.

If your using a windows server platform, why are you using Apache instead of IIS?

i meant that i am starting to gain knowledge in these programs, not using them together..but ya thats really cool youve done that
