New Graphics Card?

Right now im runnin a GeForce 8600 GT 256MB 128-bit (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130085)
Graphics card. I recently got Age of Conan and i hear my card isnt keeping up that good. someone told me a 7800 is a better card and the 8600 is crap. im wondering should i go ahead and buy a 7800 or buy another 8600 and SLI? what would be able to run full settings and what not?

Some Issues:
1. every so often the screen goes black for 15 sec, in AoC. maybe its a game issue or my card, not sure.
2. I hear the DirectX 10 in the 8600 isnt great... true?

Please help, i know its alot of info but i really need advice.

1. Make sure your running the game with your latest drivers

nvidia.com

2. You can disable dx10 in the video setting in AOC

3.Dont wast money on the 7800 or another 8600
the benchmarks on 8600 sli is not worth spending for the card.
save up and get an 8800 they run like 175 lowest i think with mail in rebates like 140 on some brands.

4. i run the game in dx10 all max 1440x900 with my 8800gt OC beautifully!
my card cost me like 170 and is worth it!!

forget Nvidia, get a Radeon 3870 it will blow ur mind trust me, only if u got the $$

sli using this bad girl...

i just bought this one and it is sooooooo quiet and runs eal good i would get this one. and no high end card nvidias performance is unbeattable. compare the x2 radeon to x2 nvidia. and seeing how this is mid range it still applies here.

its only cuz u have the lower end 8600. they have much better ones for a little more. how long have u had it

Wait 'till the 15th June and then buy a HD 4870. Nvidia is doomed in this next round of graphics wars and he HD 4870 X2 is going to be the new king.
