question. If I know the HP and torque for a engine, and I run it through a 2:1 reducer so it turns half as fast, would the HP and torque double in theory?

edit- assume that in theory there is no load applied by the reducer.

They would increase, but im not sure if it would double or not

The HP of the engine would obviously stay the same but the power would double after the reducer but obviously the speed would be halfed
