Ok, newegg has started owrking again lol.

Aright, this will be my second to last post about my new computer build. This is just getting everything together to see a realistic price. I will be posting another one Right before I order my computer to see if anything new has come out that is better or something.. Or just last minute opinions.
You can say this computer sucks, but tell me why, what you would do different.

Thanks!

I can't decide on a case. Don't know if I should go with a mid or a full. These are the parts I'm going to be sticking in this, I hope to only be, about a 75$ case. (I have a PSU for 110$)

The HDD will be partitioned: 50gb for the OS and the rest for everything else.

There have been some cases suggested.
But keep in mind that I want a good one for fan cooling.

Oh great, now the links to the cases don't work.. lol.. What's a good case? lol
Thanks

Also a video card I needed to get. I don't want to spend to much on that and I have one picked out, but I don't know if it works or not? If it's good? I may wait to buy the computer when the 2gb Video Card comes out.. forgot what the series was called.

Is that good?

Thanks so much! When all of that suff, including the vidoe card and the case in my list it's about $1,000

Brilliant Motherboard.:)
Brilliant Graphics Card.
Brilliant Power Supply.
Brilliant CPU.:)
Brilliant Memory.
Brilliant Hard Drive.
Brilliant CPU Cooler.

Excellent Set-Up.

I won't suggest a case cause of your budget but try and get a well made case that will accept ATX motherboards at least. If you want to make sure that you have enough room then go for an EATX case.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh AMD lol im an intel man myself but other than that nice build

It's nice to have a full tower case as they're easy to work in and will provide great ventilation. But with $75 it's going to be hard to find a decent one. The Cooler Master you linked to is nice but I've heard and readmany good things about the CM RC-690: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137 and the NZXT Alpha: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146041

TBH, I think you're paying too much for a HD 3850 there even if it does have a 1GB frame buffer. You can get a HD 3870 for $165: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103050
Nice cooler too. Look at the heatpipes mmm...

And I would personnally get this RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146785 It's some of the best from Mushkin and is actually cheaper than the G.Skill kit.

That's always or just since Core? Were you really an Intel man during Netburst lol?:D

Phenom 9850 dethrones the Q6600.

Aright, Full tower would be better? Well.. I'll up it to 150-200$. And if you can get a psu included that means it goes up to $310...

Well.. this is a 512mb card

This is a gb card

Does twice the speed make any difference? :D
I don't mind paying the 15 extra dollars... lol

I added your ram. Saved me.. lol, 4$ or something :D but if it's better... lol

I'm going to find out what scholarships I'm getting tomorrow. My college will cost about 1500$ and they force you to use your sholarships for next semester, on school. School counts as a computer after you're done paying for college... so I may have anywhere from 2k to 3k I have to spend... I have 1k saved up now though..., without the scholarships. That's assuming I don't get any.

Woah woah woah here...VRAM has nothing to do with speed. Unless you have like a 1080P monitor, the difference between 512MB and 1GB is negligible. The 3870's core is faster than the 3850's, which is more important.

...I would not get near that PSU, never heard of the brand. I mean for the same price you can get a PCP&C power supply, which is the best brand name in the market.

Honestly, I think you're wasting your money getting a Phenom instead of a Core 2 Duo, but to each his own. A Q6600 would be a lot better for your money.

I agree with worshipme, you're better off with the mushkin than the G.Skill.

For $10 more, you can get a hard drive with 32MB of cache. The performance will be significantly better:

Xigmatek are newcomers yes. Their OEM is the same manufacturer you supplys Tt with the Toughpower line. Honestly it would be a reliable and solid PSU.

From the benchmarks I've seen and the forum threads, the Phenom 9850 is performing as good as and often better clock for clock than the Kentsfields.
Plus many people have been getting 1GHz OCs on these with the 790FX.

Still...the Phenom's don't exactly have the greatest reliability record.

And even if it was the Thermaltake, I'd take a PC Power & Cooling PSU over that any day, even if it has 40 watts less power. Check out the specs, 49A on a single +12V rail, that is intense.

Wow, so you think it's that much better bor 80$?
\
You can get a case with a psu in it you know... :D
What I'm spending on a case went down to 100$ because of this psu,, :D

And I'm going with the 512 vid card I guess.. :D Thanks
