Pencil mod FTW!!

Without the mod I with 1.45V (BIOS), Vdroop was 0.15V which is terrible.

After the mod I was running 3.51GHz (390x9) with 1.365V (BIOS). Idle voltages were 1.362V. Load voltages were 1.364V.

But my P5K is now in motherboard heaven unfortunatly.

Pencil mod did absolutely nothing for me

How did P5K pass away?

BIOS flash went bad and I couldn't recover. It's a confliction with ASUSsupdate-Vista x64.

And are you sure the P5K-E has the exact same PCB layout as the P5K?

The "E" does look very similar to the vanilla K apart from the WiFi card as far as I can tell.

What happened with your RMA?? Can you get a new bios chip?
