hi i was wondering why my intel P4 LGA775 3.0ghz HT processor gets 44 seconds @ 1M (most 2.6 processors get 36 seconds)

System Specs:

Windows Xp vlite
512x2 @ 533mhz ram
ATA hard drive (5 years old)
Intel 945g motherboard

Would disabling HT technology help out my performance?

Disabling HT would slow your pc even further.

Are the "most" pcs you're comparing to running 533MHz memory??

What timings are you running your memory at?

Tightening up the memory timings is the easiest way to decrease your pi time, overclocking the cpu is another, also ensure all your chipset drivers are up to date.

actually i found out that my integrated graphics (GMA950) relys soley on my cpu which is probably what is dragging my pi score down

so disabling ht technology wouldnt increase my game performance? (i really dont get how having two virtual cores would increase peformance)

yes, it will also be sharing memory too which will impact on your superpi score

HT lets you process 2x the amount of information, turn it off and run Superpi for a comparison, you can't hurt anything and that way you'll know for sure. I doubt anything you do will increase game performance with onboard video.
