Now...I'm in the middle of nowhere and some how, some way, we get DSL. I know that DSL is dependent on how many of your neighbors are on and whatnot but this is what baffles me:
I have 2 puters running the same OS (Vista), same brand (Dell...bleh), both newer puters and running off the same router (one wireless and one wired).
One (the laptop using the wireless) works fine. Not the fastest thing I've ever used but it's not bad.
The other (the wired desktop which should IN THEORY be FASTER) runs like a big pile of poop. What's weird is that, instead of taking me to the site I type, sometimes I get search results for the site I typed in...sometimes I get a "page not found" thing...sometimes I get the page...who knows.
Aside from my 88 processes running, what could be going on?
