Im just surfing for upgrades and noticed

AMD Tri Cores! Are they any good?

apparently there ment to be quads that had a core fail on them ???

have a look on tomshardware see if they have been benched yet

In multi-threaded applications they are obviously faster than the C2Ds which are in the same price range, but they fall behind in single-threaded apps because of the clock-speeds but they can overclock to 3GHz so it would be a good upgrade IMO. 8750 X3 is the pick of the bunch.

Eh, IMO for the price may as well get a Q6600. The 2.4 GHz 8750 X3 is $195, and the Q6600 is $220.
