Can't Connect to Internet in XP

I see no reason why it would be too old, unless it's just a similar model on SMC's site. Try this driver. It's for the same device, just older http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?event=...wsPartNumber=false&userPartNumber=&docId=3059

I tried that one too but it didn't work either. Well, I think it would work except for this: In the Read Me it says to plug in the adapter and wait for the computer to find new hardware but when I plug it in the computer doesn't recognize it as new hardware so I have no way of installing the drivers because I need to use the floppy disk which I believe needs to be used in the Install New Hardware wizard.

right well plug it in goto device manager right click the thing with yello ? or ! and click uninstall i think once you dont that reboot take adapter out and once its running plug it in and the hardware wizard should come on,

or goto device manager find the thingy right click and go update driver

Thank you ssc! That fixed it and I'm now connected to the internet on that computer
