Harddrive Question

I have partitioned my hard drive C and D. I want to set so when i load a game or a program into my computer instead of defaulting loading into the C i want it to go to the partitioned part D. Anyone know what to do?

yeah i know that but is there another way. if not its not a problem but it would just be easier.

when u install it'll ask u where u want to install it

Click Start > Run > type regedit, click OK.

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Right click ProgramFilesDir in the right pane, select Modify to change it to the desired location.

You may also want to modify ProgramFilesPath to the same location as ProgramFilesDir.

You'll need to reboot to save the changes.

Thank you so much. i remembered once you told me. when i first built this computer i set up the common directory to the D drive not the program files and i never got around to fixing it. Thanks again Atomic!
