hello, i've been reading and getting advice on overclocking, since i want to mess with my old eMachines T5039. The problem is that i cant access the BIOS, i've been told that companies block the access and that if i want to overclock i'll have to but a MOBO , etc...

So my question is, is there a posibility that i can access my BIOS? and if not can you recomed a 70$ or less MOBO that i can buy for that?

the PC's specs

Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG (BIOS)
P4 517 2.93Ghz 533FSB
1GB Crucial 533Mhz
128MB ATI Radeon Express X200
Win XP SP3
Radeon™ Xpress 200 for Intel® Processors (Chipset)

Well, before you go and buy a new mobo, what you can do is try to flash a bios over yours. This might not work out and result in having to get a new mobo, or you might unlock loads of settings. Go to your mobo manufacturers website and see if they support that board. Chances are they don't because when they sold OEM models to eMachines they sold them rights to the board. But you could still be in luck. See if your board matches the exact specs on another model on the makers site, and if it does you can try to flash it over your current one.
