New Computer Help Please.

Cohen, not bad, but I'd go with a seagate hd because the cache is larger, and that psu is a bit spendy for a 550w. Mobo looks fine, but your cpu link is incorrect and the ram is a bit spendy. You can get ram just as good quite a bit cheaper. If i have time later I'll throw together a system. BTW you don't have a gpu or dvd drive listed either.

Zac

ok - well with over you think... that is what i think.

My budget will likely boost to $1500 CAD. I can't seem to decide on a good motherboard. I'm looking for SLi or Crossfire support but, I'm not really sure which one to be set on. Nvidia or Ati? Anyways, thank you guys for all the help. :)

This list of parts I recommended earlier has all you need. CrossfireX support (AMD's new multi-GPU technology) which scales better than SLI and allows you to pair non-identical GPUs. For example, with CrossfireX you can pair HD 3850 with a HD 3870, something you can't do with SLI.

i plan on overclocking so how bout cooling?

and how bout that phenom vs a e8400 or a e8500.

i know the e8400/8500 is a good overclocker. however i'm not really confident in my overclocking skills. :(

Excuse me. I hate to be rude but I am tired of searching for a way to post new message. I found it easy to reply but no way to post a new one. I never use forums much and do not know how to get around in them. I checked the FAQ but still could not fine out how.
Can someone tell me where I go to get some help with purchasing a new computer?
I am in a hurry becasue I need it for a new job. I will be designing some large display banners for print. (84 inches by about 40 inches and they will designed in very high resolution.
I want something powerful.
I was jsut fixing to order one from DELL but am a bit queasy after reading some of these posts.
Can anyone tell where I might get this in a fairly short amount of time?
