Ok, this is the OC part of the BIOs on the P35 and I don't know how I can achieve the 4.0ghz which i've heard can easily be attained by the E8400

http://www.msicomputer.com/msiforms2/maxP35.asp

so right now I have my FSB frequency at 430 and CPU ratio at 8 (It won't boot if its at 8.5 or 9) and its pretty stable right now 36C.

but every time you increase the frequency and decrease the cpu ratio doesn't that make it slower?

I have the Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU Cooling Heatsink /w fan

thanks.

Yeah, if your voltages are for example on automatic, thats a bad place to start.

You'll also find that some chips just won't go as high as others, and 4.0ghz sounds VERY high.

What kind of cooling and voltages?

Thermalright Ultra-120 CPU Cooling Heatsink /w fan

just got to 435x9 with 1.3voltage I am going to try and lower the voltage until it doesn't boot.

I was trying 440 with 1.3voltage but wasn't booting correctly, but I up and running with 435x9 with 1.3v

God
What kind of temp's are u reading?

I'm waiting for you to 100% the CPU for a minute and wait to see if it blew up on you.

Really, is anything over 4Ghz needed when your running at 50C?(that is a guess)
