ps3 80 or 40?

I've got the 40GB version as like you I have a PS2 for those games. Thats about the only reason I would recommend a 80GB version if you didn't have a PS2.

The only other things would be 2 usb ports instead of 4, no sd memory card drive or SACD support.

Yes you can buy USB hubs for them. I don't see a real purpose of the sd slots since most people use flash drives which are usb.

Save the $100 bucks and use it to put a 250GB drive in there. When you take out the drive and put the new one in it will automatically prompt you to format the drive first which will automatically set everything up for you.
