You got that one right! There's too mauch conflict with drivers loading for one system to be any good on a totally different set of hardwares. Sometimes you have manually track down and remove old drivers or use a driver cleaning tool and then contend with the old hardware profile seen in XP and of course Vista.
One thing learned here fast is when moving drives from one build to another was first backing anything important on a second drive unless a second storage partition could be made. A good reformatted or even new primary seeing a clean install Windows always seems to work the best.
