Stupid Thing I Did When I First Got My PC

Simple answer to you not putting on any thermal paste is> No you didn't hurt it. Reason being Intel has built in thermal protection. At a preset temp the cpu will throttle back to 50%. If it continues to run hot it will shut off.
Put some thermal paste on the cpu heatsink junction and you'll be fine.

hmm, seems like that Intel CPU has a higher temp than AMD, or maybe quads produce more heat then dual, i have a AMD, and its 13 degrees Celsius when its at Idle, and about 30 degrees celsius when on full load, but then again, i am not OC'ing.

i have a very hard time believing that your cpu idles at 13c if it's air cooled. Where are you checking these temps from?

Yeah, I'm fine now, getting around 40c idle and 70ish load without the thermal paste being cured. Still want a TRUE though, lol. Thanks for all your input!
