we could plug a little attachment into the dock of the ipod
and in this attachment would be a mic and a sim card holder
how friken cool would that be
any one have any idea what id need to make that?
"edit"
i found a sim holder

now whats that chip and antenna called that would allow me to connect to my cell net work?
then all we need is a microphone and a way to connect it to the ipod
"edit 2"
i found a mic

and even a speaker maybe we could set it up where i put something on the top as well

I'm not sure how expensive things are but let's consider this:

-An iTouch is around $300 (8GB)
-An iPhone is around $400 (8GB)

Now with the money, time, and effort you put into modifying an iTouch into an iPhone, I think you might as well buy an iPhone.

the hole point is so i dont have to pay an extra 50 bucks on my bill for the next 2 years

ya much more
u have to pay for a full data plan to get it
so i figar if i can put the parts in a small little attachments i could just d/l the iphones cell phone program of the net and bam im good

dude...no. everything in that is programmed to work with the cell hardware in the iphone.

third party sim card holders and mics wont work with it. sure, you can use them for skype mobile or watever (the mic and speaker, not the sim card) but theres no way your gettin a sim card into a ipod touch. and how the hell would you even put an antenna in there?
