When a mobo's FSB is 1066/1333MHz

Is that mean it can only take cpus that are 1066 or 1333 mhz fsb, or that this is just the max? If this is the the max why is it 2 numbers. Different each direction, if that would even make sense.

Thanks for the help.

That is the max. It will still be able to take for emample, the E4500 which has an 800MHz FSB speed.

It is probably just be a mistake on the site's part, check the manufacturers website.

its on everymobo on newegg. 2 nos

by 2nos i mean 2 numbers like 1066/1333 or 1333/1600

The Intel® X38 Express Chipset is the latest chipset designed to support 8GB of dual-channel DDR3 1333/1066/800 architecture, 1333/1066/800 FSB (Front Side Bus), Dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 graphics and multi-core CPUs. With the specially included Intel® Fast Memory Access technology, available memory bandwidth usage is optimized and memory access latency is reduced - allowing faster memory speeds.
ASUS's site.

It even supports 1600MHz CPUs (the X38 doesn't officially support them, that's what the X48 is for, but ASUS have released a BIOS update which enables support for 1600MHz FSB)

In short, it supports all the LGA775 CPUs.

@ Remeniz, glad you're happy with the case. Again, I'm really really sorry about that scratch.
