If you save for a 512MB version, you'll be even better off. They have the new G92 core and are even faster.

I don't want anything too fast..only using a pentium D chip..its the highest this thing will go lol

It could, but the performance increase over your current 8500GT will be worth it.

You could save for a 9600GT. They are a bit slower than the 8800GT 512, but are also cheaper ($149) and you would still see a very nice performance increase.

A nice power supply such as the SILVERSTONE ST400 would work nicely.

Yup. Both the 9600 and 8800 only require a 400W PSU w/ 26A on the 12v rail.



If you want a bit more power the OCZ StealthXStream 500W would be another nice choice for $59.99 ($39.99 after $20.00 Mail-In Rebate).

you wouldn't have any idea how long those 9x series video cards are would ya? I've got a mis tower (emachines w3507) so it's not one of those small shoe box sized ones

and where exactly does it say 26a on 12v rails? lol sorry..and I doubt I'll need anything greater than the 400w psu...since the most power hungry part I'll be putting in there will be the graphics card
