lolz 40$ and its 700 mhz,10gb hdd,200 mb RAM, and 7.5 vram for 40, hjowever when i went to uninstall the useless crap semantic or norton system works or some gay crap like that it says it can't find the neccessaryt uninstall files so is there a 3rd party program i can use to clear the registry of that carap if i just delete the files from program files, and was this a good deal lolz.

Boot into safe mode and uninstall it.

or if that still dont work while your in safe mode just manually remove all the files under C:/program files/symantec,

the remove anything that may be under docs and settings/ user/application data,

then finally go into regedit and remove all entries under,

hkey_local_machine/software/symantec/norton
hkey local user/software/symantec/norton,

thats about as good as it gets

What I would do is take a Windows XP cd, do a clean installation, and erase all the crap on there.

agreed ^,^^ that will definately benifit him, although i just suggested that as he asked how to get rid of that and i told him,

althought if you do happen to have an XP disk laying about and all the drivers for the lappy are easy to access a reinstallation of windows will do it the world of good
