Ok im building a computer pretty much from the ground (im keepin hardrive till college probably) and i found some stuff on New Egg and i just want to know if its anygood.

Just a few questions: What is your budget? Will you be overclocking? And what will you be doing with the computer?

I can already say though that the CPU, motherboard and GPU have been replaced by better performing newer products which offer much better performance for the money.

CPU: The E6420 is one of the older C2Ds and you should be aiming for one of the new 45nm Wolfdales, the E8400 preferably. 45nm means less heat, lower power consumption, better performance and more overclockable: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037

You should also consider 4GB if you're running Vista.

my budget is abot 300$ to 400$
I will probably not be overclocking and im running XP. and what power supply do u reccomend. im trying to keep most of the prices as low as possible without sacrificing quality. My computer will be used for gaming i just want to keep the costs down.
 
Ok, So the 500 Watt power supply will be enought to power pretty much everything, is there anyway to cut the price on the Proccesor at all?

If you're trying to keep the prices as low as possible, then I would recommend perhaps an AMD platform. The 5000+ X2 black edition and a 770 motherboard:

With the money you save there, you can get the 8800GT or HD 3870.
