Just another quick question.

Is it possible to 'partition' a computer (or more ideally a Hardrive), so that if one was to install 2 versions of the same program they don't 'read' eachother?

Cheers

Yes, you can partition a hdd. However, you normally do that so that like ace777 said, it is primarily used for seperate OS's, such as Windows, and Linux. That being said, I guess that you could install the same OS on a seconded partition. I would just look at virtual box, or Microsoft's virtual pc, though.

Cheers!

Yes a partition is like two filing cabnets,if you have a invoce ou can copy put it in both cabnets.
And you can partition it by using partition magic.
