Just to second what worship me said, the 9600GT does NOT compare to the 8800 in graphics performance, especially if you talk about high-end cards.

You can get yourself a 8800GT/GTS with 512MB and a G92 Core (newer version) and it will serve you for a LONG time. Just because the 9 series is the newest one doesn't mean it beats the rest.

Think of it this way: A 2006 M3 will not be beaten by a 2008 3 series.

Also, does the CPU thermal paste come with the motherboard? The CPU is OEM so do I need to get one?

If the CPU is OEM, you will need a cooler and some decent thermal paste.

I think the Freezer 7 PRO already comes with some MX-2 but it's always nice to have some extra.

I watched a video on building a pc and it looks insanely hard; should I hire someone to build it? I mean, I am worried I will break something when I build it. How difficult is it?

The best I can do with my 8800GT is high in DX9 at 1280x1024 ) 0xAA. I can't even run it at all high settings at 1600x1200, and my rig is OC'ed. I dread to think what the 9600 would be like.

It's really not as difficult as it sounds. Once you have all your parts, it's pretty much self-explanatory. You will be able to see which cables/components go where etc. And you motherboard manual will tell you most things. If all else fails, there's always CF.

As long as you ground yourself by touching your case before touching components, you won't damage anything.

The problem is, I can't surpass like $1350, and with the 8800GT I do.
