Need a new computer!

thats a pretty good computer, not sure if its as good as one you build yourself for the price, i havent really checked prices on compute lately.
That computer is better than mine, so i say go for it if you dont want to build your own.

That's OK, but if you want to play some games then an 8600GT isn't going to cut it. GhostGT typed exactly what I was thinking and I would recommend everyone of those parts he chose except perhaps of the PSU as I know people who have had trouble with the Roswills, how about this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003
It's a great PSU and would power the E8400 and 8800GTS fine.

If you're unsure about building your own and the thought of it is a bit worrying. Here is a guide: http://www.buildyourown.org.uk/

And if you ever have any problems, just post it up on CF and we'll be glad to help.

There are a "few" things wrong there. You can't put an AMD processor in an intel motherboard. I don't really recommend that PSU as I know people have had trouble with the Roswills before. Look at the one I recommended: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139003 Wattage isn't the most important factor in a PSU. You could say it's the most important part of a system so you don't want to skimp. The 8800GTS 320MB is an obsolete card. There are quieter, more energy efficient and better performing cards available from AMD and Nvidia now. Here are a few:

As for the platform, it's your choice. Both AMD and Intel have good processors available. Did you say what you were going to be doing with the computer?

No, it's not good. You get cheap generic RAM, a serverly under powered 8500GT, and it will come with a crappy PSU.
Why not go with the build GhostGT recommended? You'd be getting much higher quality parts.

To late now...As long as it can run steam games I'm fine.
