hey fellas,

how's everybody been doin lately? ive been gone for a while

anyway, im making a gaming website for work since i finally got my boss into COD4, he wants to have a website for gaming, thus we need forums....

and so i came to you guys to get the best free forums available, now i am NOT looking for free hosting, im looking for the code, we have fibre optic internet at work with about 10 dual core servers, so we are covered :)

anyway, lemme know guys, help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks guys, take it easy.. :)

what you mean forum software?
phpbb3 is the best covered and most poular
smf is second i believe

thats what i was lookin for, thanks man +1

If you use windows instead of linux, IIS + PHP works great instead of apache too. I have a forum (not really used) running on Server2003 w/ IIS 6.0, PHP, mySQL and PHPBB2

Oh yeah, just today I installed PHPBB3 on the server (replacing PHPBB2) from scratch.

It's a bit complex, getting PHP + IIS to work well, than PHPBB3 to play nicely with windows, and than setting up mySQL.

If you want help, feel free to hit me up on msn / aim, better sooner than later as it's fresh in my head now :)

alright, so what is the easiest forums to deal with? in your opinions...
