Hi,

What cables do I need to connect my pc to my laptop in order to transfer programmes and files from either to either?

What utility can one use to wipe completely my lap hard drive but not damage the WIN98 OS?

If you have a router you can connect the two in a small network using CAT-5 network cable.

Or if you have an external HDD transfer your files to that, then transfer over to the other system.

And I think, but Im not sure, that this works too. If you just direct connect the two together using network crossover cable and go to Files and settings transfer wizard under system tools you can do it. This would be the best option if you want to transfer everything.

Just so you know, you can copy the program files over, but odds are you will still need to reinstall the programs.

Killdisk is a good free utility to wipe your hard drive.
