yes, i'm still alive..need iphone help

hows everything going..man its been a while since I've posted..

Anyhow, I got an unlocked iphone the other day..Don't know anything about them, just got a good deal, so I decided to pick one up..Long story short, everytime I try to download something from installer it says "Failure to download package" anyone know whats going on..I have the lastest version of installer..I think its 3.01..should I uninstall that version? Thanks

Are you on att with your simcard, with other carriers you don't have the full features such as installer. For example using att on an unlocked sidekick only allows texting & standard calling, but no internet or IM is available.

yeah I'm using At&T w/ it..Not sure why this is happening, works fine for my other friends who have unlocked iphones..anyone?

I checked over at XDA Developers but they don't even mess with the Iphones there.

any problem can be un done with a format by putting your ipod and restore mode so theres no way to brick it

Could do with knowing what Firmware your on. If your still running 1.1.2 unbrick it to 1.1.1 and try again

I dont have a iphone but an itouch jailbroken 1.1.4

u dont have to do that at all
restore it to 1.1.4
(even if that means upgrading your firmware) when jail brake it
just follow the video
its very easy and retard proof
