Subscription Proxy's and Security Worth the $$$???

Hello all, im kinda new to internet security, primarily interested in anonymity through internet websites and file sharing programs. I have read of websites that offer a subscription SOCKS proxy for a yearly fee. Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge of anything pertaining to SOCKS subscription proxy services? Im in the US if that is useful information.

Not really needed. Even though one might get your real ip address, one will usually get no information from it.

you will usually get some info. But I still do agree with TheLastWolf, it's not really needed.

You can use google to find some free proxy servers. No need to pay anything, though it can be pretty hard to find a fast proxy server that is free and works just fine.

Just use firefox and get one of the proxy add on programs for it.

okay, but subscription services allow for lots of bandwidth. how about running file sharing progs through a subscription proxy? I know free proxys have little tolerence for this use and often are so slow they cant even support downloading/uploading
