Is the recycle bin empty now?

It could have been deleted the whole time, but the system was reporting the recycle bin as full because of a registry error or corrupted file.

F*** LIFE.

Now there are 24 items in the recycle bin, but I did manage to get rid of 450 MB so now it's only 1.55 gigs.

I dunno wtf is going on. All I wanted was to install a 7 gig game.

Life is teh gay.

However, thanks for telling me for the CCleaner.. it actually gave me 5 more gigs of free space so I'm at 11 gigs now

Huh. Try running CCleaner again. Also run the registry cleaner a few times until it comes up clean.

It will clean up any registry problems and unused/unneeded entries. It should also help speed up your computer some. It may also help with your recycle bin problem.

That's all good, but I have 45 MB of space left, and I really really want to know if it frees up space. All the other stuff doesn't matter at the moment

No. It really wont free up any real space. Only the cleaner will do that.

Uninstall any unneeded/unwanted programs. Backup and burn any pics, files, mp3, vids, etc. to CD/DVDs to help clear up some free space.

Did you run a disk De fragment? That should also help.
